Hello, Lovelies! This is a bit of a difficult post to write, but I know it’s necessary for me and my health. I have decided to take a break from social media for a little while. There’s so much negativity and hatred out there right now that it is affecting me more than I would like. I’m trying to find the magic in the world and unfortunately the internet is full of darkness and not light, so I’m trying to follow that light.
I will still be posting on here every Sunday as I always do, so, do not fret. I have some super fun things lined up to try and create while I’m on this little break. I’m going to use this time to get back in touch with my creativity. I have plans to take a lot more pictures and to maybe start up painting again. I’m working on making some really cool Christmas presents that I’m going to share with you all. Plus, I’m planning on baking A LOT in the next couple months because it brings me great joy! I really would love it if you all would share some of your favorite recipes with me. If you do, I’ll make as many as I can and feature them in future blog posts!
As the title of this post suggests, I encourage you all to listen to your bodies and minds, know your limits, and take a break before you don’t get the choice anymore. My husband and I are guilty of this more than I would like to admit. We constantly push ourselves past our limits and then our bodies or our minds give out and we end up being down and out for weeks instead of just a couple hours. It’s not good for any of us to do this to ourselves. It’s ok to take care of yourself, and it’s necessary, so, don’t feel bad for doing it. I know that’s easier said than done, because I feel like a piece of trash when I need to take a break for myself.
It’s not selfish, you’re not hurting anyone but you if you don’t. I see you and I know how hard it can be. So, please if you need someone to talk to and tell you that it’s ok if you need to rest, talk to me. I’m here. I’ll listen and I’ll help you feel better about getting the rest you deserve.
I hope you all have an absolutely lovely week, I’ll talk to you again next Sunday!
As always, stay weird!
Later Shayders ❤
